CBSE Xth Exams

I guess  everybody by now must have been aware of the new exam's rule for class Xth students in India, by CBSE.

I remeber when i was a class ix student, any reference of CBSE board exams used to made me very very restless and afraid although i had complete year to be away from these stupid exams.

But now, what u think students would feel the same ?

Well, i guess "NO". Students might be more relaxed now as dey wont have to paas most terrible exam of studen tlife. But would it be fruitful...
Again, I would say "NO". Studies, i guess, would be taken more casually now..There would be no competition hence no urge to compete would be left in students.
But it would just leave students more depressed and deprived of good schools. No Exams hence No Marks hence No Judging criteria...n students...i should say good n excellent students would then be on same level as others.

What u think??
Post ur replies soon....

Hey,

I think I am against you on this. I think its better that the class X board exams are removed.. because in long term.. it hardly matters what you did in 10th standard, plus childhood is for fun, enjoyment, cherish cool memories.. and not to get frighten of exams and all.. In India, every parents want to their kids to score, score and score.. no matter whether their is actual knowledge being developed in kids. Knowledge is always better than amazing grades. We should give enough space for kids to grow on own, and not to force studies on them. Today we live in 21st Century, we have so many options. Without any grades, a person can earn, and distinguish itself from others, but the only thing required is that he/she is good in whatever it is..

Remember, we don't need grades to distinguish a person from others, it should be their qualities, their interests that should distinguish them from others. I still don't understand.. why for most people still grades are so important?? For me they are just numbers :-P

thanx for ur comments dear!

But i think we need quality education with good students and not quantity of students passing class xth without being marked.
Marks are important to improve quality of education a student gets.

Think it on initial level, say u r being taught something and not judged for it.Then will u take dat thing seriously n try to improve for it?

well.. still there are tests, not board but school exams :-) believe it or not this is the human nature that if there are dead-line you work to the dead-line.. and if there are tests then you study for that tests.. but the thing that you actually want to do.. you will do first :-)

hence all I am saying is make studies fun.. so that children enjoy it as much as they enjoy playing, etc. by adding board exams you are attaching the fear.. you wrote on your post about your experience.. that's wrong.. it should be taken as challenge and kids should prove their worth in those exams.. but is that achieved until now.. i doubt.. only fear, restless feeling, etc
After 10th you take your field of study.. science, commerce, etc.. their you get to prove your worth :-) unlike in 10th, a guy like me having interests in science and maths, writing exam for History, etc..
Until 10th its just basic education and should be taken as fun.. after that you have to prove your worth in whichever fiels you choose. Think of time.. writing board exam after 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th standard :-P that sucks.. where's the fun??
